...in time is a piece designed for the TXRX Labs Residency. It is inspired by Steven Wolfram's work with Cellular Automata and César Hidalgo study of information. The piece initiates a simple pattern of water drops that displace a pool of additional water below. The caustics produced by those ripples are then recorded and instead of being played back linearly like film or video, each frame is stacked upon the previous in order to produce a "crystallized" sculpture of the pattern as it propagates through time, water and light.
