PING was a project commissioned by Johnson Space Center and was a collaboration with Vision Production Group. PING converts images taken by NASA's various Moon and Mars probes into a large binary file. That file is then read by PING 64 bits at a time, where a bit is represented by a single ping pong ball. When the ball reaches the top a "1" has entered the que and when it settles to the bottom a "0" has entered.
