This piece was inspired by a challenging commission from musician, CJ Boyd. He challenged my good friend, Jim Edwards and I to produce music with but with one caveat. We had to engineer obstructions for each other in the process. Jim's challenge to me: "Produce a record in which you are NEVER allowed to touch any portion of an instrument that is doing the oscillating and thus producing any sound. Every sound that is made must also be a product of your purposeful gesture. AND NO OVERDUBS!". I bring you: the Ceiling Fan Harp and the Speaker Organ.
